Creativity Met Community At ART’Astic!

During Youth Week, our Status Participants had the privilege of attending Swan City Youth Services and Headspace Midland’s Pop-up Art event, inspiring creativity, community and connection amongst young people in the Midland area and beyond! The event was an inspiring initiative that brought together passionate local organisations and service providers, all with one common goal - to connect with young people through creativity in the most inspiring and inclusive way possible. From the moment the event kicked off, the atmosphere was electric! Stalls and pop-up stations buzzed with excitement, music filled the air, and laughter rang out as attendees joined in the diverse range of interactive activities. From painting, sketching, weaving and simply sharing stories, there was something at ART’Astic for everyone. Our Status team facilitated a powerful highlight of the event, an Indigenous Art activity that truly embodied the spirit of the day. The activity created a safe, open space where Participants could engage in rich conversation, explore Aboriginal art styles, and reflect on the significance of Indigenous heritage. It encouraged interaction in the most natural, beautiful way - through art that speaks from the heart! ART’Astic was an incredible day, full of boldness, inclusivity and happiness where young people, including our Participants, could express themselves. We are looking forward to more events like this one where art brings people together and young people’s voices are celebrated!
