Last week was Scam Awareness Week, and to mark the occasion our Foundation Skills classes took part in a scam awareness activity to build their skills in staying safe online.
In class, learners began with a whole-group brainstorm on different types of scams they already knew or had experienced, before moving into smaller groups to collaborate.
Each group then explored hyperlinks, refreshed their knowledge through reading and reflection, and watched a short video to record key tips and takeaways.
To wrap up, the groups came back together to share their insights, allowing them to build scam awareness while also strengthening teamwork, active listening and digital literacy skills.
At Pivot Training, we frequently provide contextualized classes like these to help our learners land the jobs they deserve, while also raising awareness and refreshing their knowledge on important topics.
